Expat Couple’s View: Mexico Quality of Life

1 Jun

For 8 years, expats Ellen and Jim Fields have been living the good life on the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico.  They currently manage an expat services company by the name of  Yucatan Expatriate Services. They also write about their experiences in Yucatan Living, their online magazine.

Here is a quick snippet of an interview ExpatArrivals did with them, quoting Ellen and Jim on the quality of life in Mexico:

“Q: What do you enjoy most about your host city, how’s the quality of life as an expat in Mexico?
A:  The quality of life is very high here. Low crime, lots of culture, a growing economy, international expat population, generous and welcoming Yucatecan population, more cultural events than anyone can go to, lots of music, dancing, beautiful architecture, great weather, and no earthquakes. Ever. Occasionally we get a hurricane, but you have a few days warning about those, and since Merida isn’t on the beach, it’s not a problem.”
