One Expat Couple’s New Years Resolution: Open a Restaurant in Mexico

2 Jun

Sometimes you just have to jump the gun. NY Times recently featured Mya Henry and Eric Werner, two Americans, who made a New Years resolution to part ways with New York City and open up their own restaurant in Tulum, Mexico. No strangers to the restaurant business, Mya (the cook) and Eric (front of the house operations) traveled throughout the country searching for antiques and built the restaurant Hartwood from the ground up after just 7 months.

Kudos to the expat couple for going for their dream. How inspiring!
