Expats – Try a New Mexican Food or Drink Today!

15 Jun

We’ve all seen new food that we ought to try, but instead we stick with food we already like.  Try something new today!

How about some Tejuino from the Mexican state of Jalisco?

Tejuino is an icy drink made from fermented corn, lime juice, and brown sugar (boiled and mixed into the drink) and usually accompanied with a shaved ice scoop. The final result makes its way to you from the hands of street vendors who serve the concoction in plastic cups or plastic bags tied around a straw.

Has anybody had this or other delicious food/drink suggestions that they didn’t expect to taste good?
