Taking a Tequila Tour in Jalisco, Mexico

7 Jul

In the past five years, tequila consumption in the US increased 45 percent – not a surprise 🙂

Most of the tequilas made originate in and around the state of Jalisco, Mexico , though the taste of tequila slightly varies depending on the area. Something you may not know is that in tequila country, people sip tequila from a brandy snifter or champagne glass – not a shooter. Drinking from this glassware allows the full flavors and smells of the tequila to come through, similar to wine or beer tasting.

Read more at Fox News for recommendations on tequila tours, transportation (there ARE Tequila Express party trains), popular distilleries and towns, and a little bit about the tequila making process.

Any expats been on one of these tours? Feel free to share your experience – looks like fun!

As the recommended guide featured at the end of this article, I invite any expats to get in touch. I’m happy to arrange services in Tequila, Guadalajara and the Highlands at any time of the year. Cheers!
