Podcast on the Benefits of Living in Mexico

International Living’s Mexico editor, Glynna Prentice, reports why she loves Mexico and the benefits of living in Mexico on a 16-minute podcast. One of the places she lived was Guanajato, Mexico (close by to San Miguel de Allende), a place with a high mountain climate. One benefit she cites is how the time zone matched that of her family in the U.S.

It’s thought that close to one million Americans live in Mexico currently.

El Dia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (or the Virgin of Guadalupe Fiesta) is coming up on December 12th in Mexico. This holiday features parades, fireworks, and religious masses all around Mexico in celebration of Mexico’s patron saint, the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Home Designed to Accommodate Anyone in Baja Peninsula Fishing Village

As an advocate of people with disabilities, Patrisha Wright was instrumental in the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990. With the help of an architectural firm by the name of House + House (with locations in San Francisco and San Miguel de Allende), Patricia and Debra Zeyen designed a beautiful beach home in Cabo Pulmo, Mexico that is completely accessible for those in a wheelchair. Cabo Pulmo, Mexico “is a quiet region of only 100 full-time residents, located a little less than 100 kilometers, or 60 miles, from Cabo San Lucas.” Take a look at the MexicoToday article to read more about the design process and a photo of this beautiful beach home in the Baja Peninsula.

Britney Spears to Play Free Concert in Mexico City

Mexico City expats, if you’re a pop music fan – make sure to see Britney Spears play a free Christmas concert this weekend. The concert will be held Sunday, December 24 at the Monument to the Revolution, which will be adorned with Christmas decorations.
